چکیده
Soybean-urease induced calcite precipitation (SICP) is an effective method for the improvement of sand, which forms a biocemented layer on desert sand surface to resist erosion by wind. Under this study, field tests were carried out determine how SICP approach may enhance resistance wind-induced and durability treatment in southeastern margin Tengger Desert, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, China. The experimental results demonstrated that was significantly enhanced due treatment, effect with increase biocement solution concentration dosage number cycles. Furthermore, it also found SICP-treated wind reduced as development time reduced. Based test paper, larger multiple cycles are proposed areas where severe takes place order improve ductility treatment.

Urease activity in microbiologically-induced calcite precipitation.
The role of microbial urease in calcite precipitation was studied utilizing a recombinant Escherichia coli HB101 containing a plasmid, pBU11, that encodes Bacillus pasteurii urease. The calcite precipitation by E. coli HB101 (pBU11) was significant although its precipitation level was not as high as that by B. pasteurii. Addition of low concentrations (5-100 microM) of nickel, the cofactor of u...

Desertification has become one of the main problems of human societies living in the vicinity of desert areas in recent years. One of the methods that have been considered in recent years and are rapidly expanding in the field of soil mechanics is the Microbial Induced Carbonate Precipitation (MICP). In this method, urea-positive organisms that are naturally present in the soil can stabilize th...
متن کاملMicrobially Induced Calcite Precipitation Employing Environmental Isolates
In this study, five microbes were employed to precipitate calcite in cohesionless soils. Four microbes were selected from calcite-precipitating microbes isolated from calcareous sand and limestone cave soils, with Sporosarcina pasteurii ATCC 11859 (standard strain) used as a control. Urease activities of the four microbes were higher than that of S. pasteurii. The microbes and urea-CaCl₂ medium...

4 A newly emerging microbiological soil stabilization method, known as microbially 5 induced calcite precipitation (MICP), is tested for geotechnical engineering 6 applications. MICP is a promising technique that utilizes the metabolic pathways of 7 bacteria to form calcite precipitation throughout the soil matrix, leading to an increase 8 in soil strength and stiffness. This paper investigates...
